The Children’s Rosary is a worldwide prayer group movement that began in the USA in 2011. Within our Parish the Children’s Rosary primarily takes place in our two primary schools, Sacred Heart and St Kieran’s, during the months of May and October each year.
Children meet, lead, and pray the Rosary each Tuesday or Wednesday morning assisted by parish volunteers in a prayerful and relaxed setting. The younger children bring flowers and candles up to Mary and all have an opportunity to place their prayer intentions in an intentions box. A special Children’s Rosary Prayer and Song are read and sung by the children at the conclusion of each session. Our team of volunteers are ready to assist any other group who may wish to begin a Children’s Rosary and are always looking for opportunities to extend the Rosary outside of May and October. It has proved to be a beautiful experience for all involved. There is also a Children’s Rosary blog, childrensrosary.blogspot.com.au, which follows all the Children’s Rosary groups across the world. If you would like to know more about this ministry please contact the co-ordinator or the Parish Office. Patricia Madden, Coordinator Children's Rosary p: 3269 1082 m: 0402 085 853 |
