The Legion of Mary is a mandated association of the Catholic Church, originating in Ireland in 1921. This Parish group, which began in 1966, consists of two groups of membership, Auxiliary Members which is a prayer group and Active members whose duties consist of a weekly meeting with two hours of Legion work.
It is our privilege to visit the sick, elderly, lonely and nursing home residents, to offer the Rosary before Requiem Masses, to give our First Communion children Rosary beads and medals and to be contacts for new parishioners, and coordinate the Children's Rosary. Legion Members only engage in activities sanctioned by the Parish Priest. We would love you to be an Auxiliary member or Active member of our group. If you would like more information please give our President a call, or contact the Parish Office on phone 3869 1377 or email sandgatebrighton@bne.catholic.net.au Patricia Madden, President Legion of Mary p: 3269 1082 m: 0402 085 853 |
