SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION

Confirmation, Reconciliation and First Eucharist are celebrated annually within our Parish.

Enrolment is now being done online.

Our next program begins with preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  This begins in July 2026 with information provided via the weekly newsletter mid 2026.

This page outlines the Sacramental Preparation Program for school age children wishing to receive these Sacraments. If you have left school and are interested in receiving the blessings these Sacraments bring, then please refer to the RCIA program.

Once baptised, the next step in full initiation into the faith is the following sacraments:

• Confirmation in the year your child turns eight
• Reconciliation (1st Rite) and First Eucharist in the year your child turns 9
• At the beginning of each year, the Parish Priest offers an information session to all families wishing to have their children involved in sacramental preparation in the parish.  This session includes information on the parish expectations. Workshops are currently presented by Archdiocesan Ministries Children & Families team in collaboration with the Parish Priest.  Regular weekend mass attendance with their families is a critical part of each child’s preparation.
