The Archdiocese of Brisbane has a Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy.
This policy states:
Children, young people and vulnerable adults are a gift from God with an intrinsic right to dignity of life, respect and security from physical and emotional harm. They are to be treasured, nurtured and safeguarded.
This means that each of us within our parish community has a responsibility to ensure that the fundamental rights of children, young people and vulnerable adults are respected.
A copy of the policy can be found at the above link. Please take some time to read it.
If you are working or volunteering with children, young people or vulnerable adults within our parish, training in this policy is compulsory. The Parish Office will organise this for you as part of your induction.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Parish Office on phone 3869 1377 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
